The Pirates were one of the four cultures released in Set 6 of Anachronism. It was the first cultural sweep that consisted of dual-culture cards; though all have the "Pirate" designation, they also carry their culture of origin. The Pirates of Set 6 incorporated warriors from The Britons, The Irish, and The Welsh.

In addition, it was announced that the unpublished (yet finished) designs for Set 9 included a Pirate revisit.
